Killeen High School Class of 1986

So have you checked out our new home, www.KHSClassof86.net ? The transition has gone great but we have noted a few things that changed inadvertently. So if you come across something in your profile or anything that seems to be changed or omitted, please let us know.

We are getting ready to send our programs to the printer – if your name isn’t on the program as a donator you still have time to be recognized. But before you decide to write out that check because you really want to help make your reunion the best, think about what you will be contributing to. The planning of a reunion is not unlike a wedding – and many of us know how stressful that is. However, at a reunion you are not just trying to please the bride (let’s face it –the poor groom never gets what he wants – but then again – he hasn’t been dreaming of what he will wear on his wedding day since he was 6 either). Reunions are for everyone attending. They are to bring people together – those that were once together and those that have a new opportunity to come together twenty years later in even better circumstances. And even though the reunion is really about the people that attend it, creating a special event is what makes it even more memorable. We have had a great response by donors – but with just a few more donors we can accomplish our goals. We have also had many of our classmates contribute by donating their time, creativity and skills, as well as services. All of these contributions give our classmates ownership of this reunion. We hope that you will take ownership as well –whether through volunteering to sign in guests, passing out t-shirts and spirit ribbons, sending in pictures, locating classmates, or through monetary donation.

Our donators have allowed us to offer a quality event at a very cost effective price. Our goal is to have as many classmates attend as possible and only through donations has this been made a reality. Consider that our ten year reunion was actually more expensive at $50 per ticket. Our EHS counterparts offered their reunion this year at nearly double the cost. We feel optimistic that the reunion will be a success when more people are able to attend due to the low cost of events.
